Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder has warned that the government will take strict legal action against anyone hindering development initiatives in the city.
He stressed that there will be no compromise when it comes to Agartala’s progress.
The Mayor made the remarks on Friday while inspecting areas where drainage construction under the Agartala Smart City Project had faced obstacles. During his visit to the Ashram Chowmuhani area, he reviewed the ongoing drainage work and held discussions with officials from the relevant departments.
Speaking to reporters, Majumder said the government is committed to taking all necessary measures to advance Agartala’s development. “If required, legal action will be initiated to ensure smooth execution of projects,” he stated.
He added that the administration is focused on completing all Smart City initiatives efficiently and within the scheduled timeframe. With the support of citizens, Agartala is poised to emerge as a clean and modern city, the Mayor expressed optimistically.
Majumder also noted that the ongoing renovation and development projects in the capital are expected to be completed within the next seven to eight months.
