Residents of Agartala are set to benefit from the city’s first civil hospital, as construction of the Agartala City Hospital nears completion, according to Dipak Majumder, Mayor of the Agartala Municipal Corporation.

On Thursday, Mayor Majumder, accompanied by AMC Commissioner Saju Wahid and other officials, conducted an inspection of the hospital premises.

“During today’s inspection, we assessed the remaining work at the Agartala City Hospital. The progress is substantial, and we are optimistic that all pending construction will be completed within the next month,” Mayor Majumder stated.

He added that the hospital would be equipped with modern medical facilities, aiming to provide comprehensive healthcare services to city residents. “This will be the first fully functional civil hospital in Agartala. With support from the Health Department, we are striving to create a facility that meets modern healthcare standards. Building a hospital is a time-consuming process, but we are making every effort to ensure people do not have to wait for quality medical care,” the Mayor explained.

The new hospital is expected to serve as a major healthcare hub for Agartala, offering advanced medical services and facilities once operational.
