In view of the upcoming by-election in the 56-Dharmanagar Assembly constituency scheduled for April 9, an all-party meeting was held on Friday morning at the Dharmanagar Police Office to ensure a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Jayanta Karmakar, Officer-in-Charge Meena Debbarma, along with representatives from various political parties.
The primary objective of the meeting was to maintain law and order during the election period and to prevent any untoward incidents. Officials emphasized the importance of cooperation among all political parties to ensure that the by-election is conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.
During the discussion, the administration issued several guidelines and directives aimed at safeguarding a smooth electoral process. Political party representatives were urged to adhere strictly to these guidelines and work collectively with the authorities to uphold a peaceful environment in the constituency.
The administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the democratic process is carried out without disruption, with security arrangements and monitoring mechanisms in place ahead of the polling day.
