Residents of TRTC Para in Ward 6 of the Ambassa Municipal Council of Dhalai District have raised their voices over the deteriorating condition of their area.

Facing multiple issues including poor roads, inadequate drinking water, and defective drainage systems, the local community has demanded urgent action from the municipal authorities.

On Tuesday, the residents of TRTC Para gathered and submitted a memorandum to the Chairman of the Ambassa Municipal Council, presenting three key demands. Leading the delegation, Samrat Basak told reporters that despite paying taxes regularly, the residents of TRTC Para have received no facilities or improvements from the municipal council.

“The development in our ward has come to a standstill. Roads, drinking water, and drainage repairs have not been addressed,” Basak said. He added that if their demands are not met, the residents are prepared to launch a larger protest in the future.

Locals also alleged widespread corruption in the area, implicating several political figures. Despite these issues, the administration has not initiated any investigation, fueling frustration among residents.
