Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to visit Tripura on Thursday, January 15, where he will offer prayers at the sacred Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Gomati district.

According to sources within the BJP, Sarma is expected to land at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala at around 4 pm. Soon after his arrival, he will travel directly to the Tripura Sundari Temple—one of the 51 revered Shakti Peethas—to perform religious rituals.

Following the temple visit, the Chief Minister will return to Agartala by approximately 7 pm. He is scheduled to stay overnight in the state capital and is likely to hold a meeting with Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and senior BJP functionaries.

On January 16, Himanta Biswa Sarma is expected to depart from Agartala at around 10 am.

In anticipation of the high-profile visit, security arrangements have been intensified in Agartala as well as Udaipur to ensure smooth movement and safety.
