Assam Rifles organised an awareness lecture on the occasion of World AIDS Day at Agartala on 01 Dec 25, reaffirming its commitment to health education, social responsibility and well being of locals. The event underscored the global theme of solidarity, awareness and collective action in addressing HIV related challenges.

The lecture was delivered by doctors of Assam Rifles along with Bharti Chakraborty, Secretary, village development team, Agartala AIDS Control Society. 

The speakers educated attendees on HIV/AIDS, its modes of transmission, preventive measures, early diagnosis and importance of dispelling prevalent myths. The interactive session enhanced understanding, encouraged stigma free conversations and promoted responsible health practices.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of locals alongwith troops and families, reflecting Assam Rifles’ dedication to fostering informed and healthy communities.
