Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday expressed confidence that Bihar will deliver an outstanding verdict in the upcoming Assembly elections.

He said the massive public response at rallies clearly shows that people have rejected jungle raj and are united in their desire for development — something only the BJP can ensure.

Dr. Saha made these remarks while addressing a large public meeting held for the nomination filing of BJP candidates from the Ramnagar and Bagaha constituencies in Bihar.

“The enthusiasm of the crowd speaks for itself. I thank everyone for their support. Bihar has 243 Assembly seats, and elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results to be announced on November 14. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s blessings, we can confidently say today what will happen on the 14th — the BJP will achieve a resounding victory. In Champaran alone, which has nine seats, the BJP will win all of them. This year’s election results in Bihar will be exceptional,” said Dr. Saha.

He reminded the audience that Champaran holds historical importance as the place where Mahatma Gandhi launched the Satyagraha movement.

“In Tripura, we also celebrate Bihar Diwas, and many people from Bihar live and work in our state. I myself spent five years studying at Dental Medical College in Patna, so Bihar feels like my second home. The state is the soul of India — it has produced countless talented people. Before coming here, I sought blessings from Tripura Sundari Maa so that we can win all nine seats in Champaran,” Dr. Saha said.

Reflecting on Tripura’s transformation, he added, “Our state once suffered from terrorism and unrest. But in 2018, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we ended decades of CPIM rule. Today, all former extremists have surrendered, and Tripura is completely free from violence. This transformation was possible only because of PM Modi’s leadership.”

Dr. Saha further highlighted Tripura’s progress under the HIRA Model — focusing on Highways, Internet, Railways, and Airways — introduced by the Prime Minister.

“People of Bihar are wise and forward-looking. Farmers here are benefiting from central welfare schemes, and the state has seen remarkable development in recent years. This momentum must continue. As we work towards building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047, Bihar will play a crucial role in that mission,” he said.

Recalling the era of misgovernance under Lalu Prasad Yadav, Dr. Saha remarked, “Bihar has moved beyond the days of jungle raj. People will never accept that again. Only the BJP can provide the guarantee of good governance and continuous development. I urge everyone to come out early on polling day and vote for our BJP candidates to ensure Bihar’s continued progress.”
