Despite calls for peaceful elections, internal aggression within a major regional party in the state appears uncontrollable. On Thursday night, miscreants entered Booth No. 8 office in Batanmura, under Chariilam Mandal, and vandalized BJP’s campaign materials.

The Batanmura BJP booth office had been inaugurated just a few days ago. Since its opening, the office has been repeatedly targeted. On Thursday night, the attackers specifically damaged the promotional materials at Booth No. 8, according to reports.

Raising concerns over police protection, local BJP booth president Sanjib Debbarma urged law enforcement to conduct regular patrols to ensure the office’s security. He pointed out that offices of the Tipra Motha party in the area have not faced any such attacks, indicating that BJP offices are being deliberately targeted.

In response to the incident, local BJP workers staged a protest on Friday, condemning the vandalism.
