Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today expressed strong confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will emerge victorious in West Bengal, asserting that the Trinamool Congress’s statements and criticism will not hinder the party’s progress.
Speaking about the BJP’s political approach, Dr. Saha said the party’s strength lies in disciplined effort, dedication, and governance focused on public welfare.
He noted that consistent hard work and commitment to the nation ultimately translate into electoral success.
Quoting Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Tripura Chief Minister remarked that sustained effort—from early morning till late night—reflects directly in election outcomes. He emphasized that governance should prioritize the interests of citizens and the country rather than personal or political gain.
Taking a dig at the Trinamool Congress, Dr. Saha alleged that while the BJP concentrates on development and welfare initiatives, the TMC remains preoccupied with self-interest. He claimed that the party’s rhetoric and attempts to mislead people lack substance and fail to deliver meaningful results. Pointing to BJP’s past electoral successes, he said that after Bihar, the party is now firmly focused on West Bengal and is confident of forming the next government there.
Dr. Saha also highlighted the BJP’s expanding footprint across the country, citing victories and governance efforts in states such as Odisha, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for driving national progress, strengthening security, developing infrastructure, and restoring cultural and religious heritage sites across India.
Responding to allegations surrounding central agencies, the Chief Minister stated that the Enforcement Directorate operates independently and without political interference. He said investigations are conducted strictly according to law and that action has been taken wherever wrongdoing has been identified. Referring to developments in West Bengal, he added that accountability has already been established in several cases.
Concluding his remarks, Dr. Saha said the BJP remains committed to development-driven governance and national advancement. He asserted that the people of West Bengal are aware that a secure and prosperous future depends on supporting a government that works in the public interest, and he expressed confidence that BJP will earn that mandate.
