Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that the opposition CPI(M) is sitting in the hope that there will be a quarrel within the BJP, and they are dreaming of removing the BJP from power to form a Left Front government again.
He said that the current government of the state is working for the welfare of the people by maintaining transparency.
“Despite being a small state, Tripura is moving in the right direction in every parameter. Tripura has won 347 awards at the all-India level. However, the opposition is not able to see the real development of the state,” said Dr. Saha.
Dr. Saha said this while attending the Yuva Shankhanad program organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party at BBI School Ground in Dharmanagar, North District, today.
Speaking at this program organized by the Yuva Morcha of North District, Dr. Saha said, “My friend and the Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly was late Bishwabandhu Sen. His untimely demise has truly caused us an irreparable loss. We will all complete his half-finished works together. We have to take that promise. We know that he was also a distinguished artist. He was also associated with the art of Jatra and theatre. He dreamed of the overall development of Dharmanagar. We want to do it not only through words but also through deeds.”
He said that due to the dedicated efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, peace has been established in Tripura today.
“Earlier, if you wanted to go to Agartala, you could not go without an escort. Now there is peace in Tripura and the entire Northeast. The opposition leaders are now dreaming about the BJP. And we work from 6 am to 12 midnight. We want to reach the people through our work. But they are sitting in the hope that there will be a quarrel between us. They are dreaming of removing the BJP and forming a Left Front government again. For this, they have joined hands with those with whom they had quarrels (murder, terrorism, arson, rape). They have become friends with them. They do not sleep at night thinking about how to come to power. They are not worried about working for the people,” said Dr. Saha.
The Chief Minister said that Tripura has won 347 awards at the all-India level. Tripura has come first in deregulation and compliance across India.
“For this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself praised Tripura in the meeting of Chief Secretaries held in Delhi. He asked other big states of the country to learn from Tripura. Despite being a small state, Tripura is working in the right direction. A few days ago, Tripura was declared the third fully literate state in the country after Mizoram and Goa,” he said.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister also said that about 50 percent of the population is women.
“Therefore, if women are not developed, there will be no development of the state and the country. That is why the Prime Minister is working on their development as a priority. And the Tripura government is also working in that direction. Tripura ranks second among the states of the Northeastern region in terms of GSDP and per capita income. NITI Aayog has declared Tripura a front-runner state. Tripura is moving in the right direction in every parameter. Although the opposition is not seeing the development of the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party means development. There is nothing without development. The current government is working for the welfare of the people by maintaining transparency,” said Dr. Saha.
