Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Monday reiterated the transformative power of education, stating that “nothing is impossible with education.”

He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently highlighted how the nation’s future will be shaped by quality education.

Dr. Saha was speaking at the District-Level NIPUN Fest held at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala.

Highlighting the importance of holistic learning, the Chief Minister said,“We must learn from nature and nurture our upcoming generations—mentally, emotionally, and in every aspect. The NIPUN Mission, launched in 2021, is a remarkable initiative aimed at strengthening foundational learning.”

Addressing teachers, Dr. Saha urged them to maintain a positive and welcoming attitude in classrooms.
“I understand that teachers also face personal and family challenges, but in front of young children, you must always smile. A teacher’s face reflects the mind, and a cheerful face attracts and encourages children,” he said.

He praised the crucial role teachers play in driving the success of the NIPUN Tripura Mission, which aligns with the National Education Policy introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Emphasizing playful and engaging teaching methods, Dr. Saha said,
“When children learn through play, they grasp concepts more easily. Teachers must ensure that every child is able to understand. If some children need more time, we must give it to them. Neglecting them will never produce good results.”

The Chief Minister informed that the NIPUN Tripura initiative, launched in 2022, has already covered around 4,200 schools across the state.
“I am hopeful that this number will continue to grow. We must reach the last mile of society. Teachers are the foundation of this mission, and they must work with the same dedication they show to their own children,” he added.

This year marks four years of NIPUN Bharat and three years of NIPUN Tripura.

Special Secretary for Education Raval H. Kumar, Director of Secondary Education N. C. Shama, and Director of Elementary Education Rajib Datta were also present at the event.
