Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday chaired an important organisational meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to review preparations for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections and to strengthen the party’s organisational base.
The meeting was attended by BJP Tripura President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya, General Secretary Amit Rakshit, former MP Rebati Tripura, party Vice Presidents, and leaders from various Morchas.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Dr. Saha said that discussions primarily revolved around internal organisational matters and strategies for the forthcoming local body and TTAADC elections.
“Today, we held a meeting with our party leaders to discuss organisational issues. The local body and TTAADC elections are approaching, and we deliberated on related matters,” the Chief Minister stated.
He clarified that no talks were held regarding alliance partners, emphasizing that the meeting was focused solely on strengthening the BJP’s organisation and its grassroots network.
Currently, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council is governed by the Tipra Motha Party, which is presently in alliance with the BJP in the state.
