The tragic suicide of Kerala-based software engineer Anandu Aji has sparked protests by the Tripura Youth Congress, following allegations that he was repeatedly sexually harassed by RSS leaders during and after his participation in RSS shakhas.

Today Tripura Youth Congress leaders held a procession from Congress Bhavan to Paradise Chowmuhani City Center, where they staged a demonstration.

The protest escalated as leaders blocked the road and burned effigies to demand justice. Clashes with police ensued, leading to the arrest of several protesters, who were later taken to the AD Nagar Police Lines ground.

Speaking to reporters, Tripura Youth Congress President Neelkamal Saha said, “Anandu, an IT professional from Kerala, committed suicide after suffering repeated abuse. Before taking his life, he made a final post on social media naming several RSS members and describing the physical abuse he endured. He also suffered from mental health issues, and ultimately could not bear the trauma. This matter must be thoroughly investigated, and the RSS members involved should be punished.”

Saha further emphasized that the pain, torture, and mental trauma Anandu faced due to the alleged actions of RSS cannot be forgotten.

“This incident exposes the dark and hypocritical reality of the RSS and BJP leadership. The Pradesh Youth Congress is raising its voice in protest and demanding justice,” he added.

The incident has sparked nationwide attention, with calls for a detailed inquiry into the allegations and accountability for those responsible.
