The Rashtrapati Bhavan has announced a significant gubernatorial reshuffle affecting several states and Union Territories across India, including Telangana and Maharashtra.
According to an official communiqué issued by the office of the President, multiple governors and lieutenant governors have been transferred or newly appointed as part of the latest administrative changes. The appointments will come into effect from the dates the respective appointees assume charge of their offices.
As part of the reshuffle, Shiv Pratap Shukla, who is currently serving as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as the new Governor of Telangana.
Meanwhile, the current Telangana Governor, Jishnu Dev Varma, has been transferred and appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra.
Officials stated that the changes are part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at strengthening governance across states. Further details regarding additional appointments and transfers are expected to be released as the newly appointed governors assume their responsibilities.
