Tripura Police arrested an accused individual early this morning from West Noabadi, Amtali, under Bodhjungnagar Police Station, acting on a confidential tip-off.
According to police sources, on 1 December 2025, a case was registered at Sonamura Police Station under the relevant sections of the new BNS and the POCSO Act. The case was filed after the accused allegedly attempted to sexually assault a minor girl in the evening of the same day.
The arrested individual will be produced before the Hon’ble Court later today.
This successful operation was carried out jointly by teams from Sonamura Police Station, Amtali Police Station, and Bodhjungnagar Police Station.
