In a shocking incident in broad daylight, a 30-year-old man allegedly attempted to sexually assault a woman and physically assaulted her when she resisted. The incident took place in Khadimpura, Ward No. 3, under the jurisdiction of Churaibari Police Station under North District.

According to reports, the accused, Shukur Ali, son of Komar Uddin, had been eyeing his neighbor, a mother of three, and reportedly made repeated obscene proposals. When the woman refused, he allegedly attacked her on Thursday afternoon, beating her with a stick.

The woman sustained serious injuries, and the commotion quickly drew the attention of nearby residents, forcing Shukur Ali to flee the scene. The victim subsequently filed a written complaint at Churaibari Police Station. Acting on the complaint, police immediately arrested the accused.

Local residents claim that this is not the first time Shukur Ali has harassed women in the area. The repeated incidents of sexual harassment and violence have left the village community deeply alarmed and outraged.
