Panic and tension gripped the Chakmaghat area under Teliamura police station early this morning after the mysterious death of a young man. 

The body was recovered near the Chakmaghat boat ghat, triggering widespread concern among local residents.

According to reports, locals first noticed a man lying unconscious by the roadside early in the morning and immediately informed Teliamura police. Acting on the tip-off, a police team led by Officer-in-Charge Jayanta Kumar Dey rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

Police have identified the deceased as Bhajan Debnath, aged around 35. The body has been sent to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital for post-mortem examination. Forensic experts from Agartala have also been called in to help determine the exact cause of death.

Family members of the deceased have alleged that Bhajan was murdered in a planned manner. Police, however, stated that an investigation is underway, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the forensic report is received.

The incident has sparked fear and anger among residents of Chakmaghat and nearby areas, as authorities continue their probe into the mysterious death.
