The National Investigation Agency (NIA), with support from the J&K Police and the CRPF, conducted raids at ten locations across Kashmir on Monday as part of its ongoing investigation into the Delhi terror blast case.
According to officials, the searches were carried out simultaneously in various parts of the Valley.
“The premises searched today include the residences of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay, Dr. Adil Rather, Dr. Muzammil Ganai, Amir Rashid, Jasir Bilal Wani, and several others. Raids were conducted in Nadigam village of Shopian and in the Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora, and Samboora areas of Pulwama district,” officials said.
Investigators are looking for evidence connected to the white-collar terror module believed to be linked to the Delhi blast.
“So far, the NIA has arrested six individuals in connection with the case. The blast, which occurred on November 10 near the Red Fort area, claimed the lives of at least 13 people and left several others injured,” officials added.
The explosive-laden Hyundai i20 involved in the incident was reportedly driven by Dr. Umar Nabi of Koil village in Pulwama. He went underground after two of his associates — Dr. Adil Rather of Qazigund and Dr. Muzammil Ganai of Koil — were arrested by the J&K Police and Haryana Police during the dismantling of a white-collar terror network in Faridabad.
The arrests of two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) overground workers had first led investigators to Faridabad, where the module—operated by Kashmiri doctors affiliated with Al-Falah University—was uncovered.
During the operation, authorities seized over 2,900 kg of explosive materials, electronic detonation devices, and other incriminating items.
A female doctor from Lucknow, Dr. Shaheed Saeed—who had married Dr. Muzammil Ganai and worked as a pharmacologist at Al-Falah University—was also arrested for her alleged involvement in the module.
