Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar on Sunday for a day-long election campaign featuring two major rallies and a grand roadshow in Patna.
According to the Prime Minister’s schedule, he will first address a rally in Arrah at 1:30 p.m., followed by a second public meeting in Nawada at 3:30 p.m. Modi is expected to return to Patna by 5 p.m.
At 5:25 p.m., he will pay floral tribute to noted Hindi poet Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar at his statue. Soon after, at 5:30 p.m., the Prime Minister will lead a grand roadshow in the state capital to campaign for NDA candidates.
The roadshow, considered the centrepiece of the day’s events, will begin from Dinkar Golambar and pass through Nala Road, Thakurwadi and Bakarganj before concluding.
Later in the evening, around 6:45 p.m., the Prime Minister is slated to visit the Takht Sri Harimandir Sahib Gurudwara at Patna City.
To facilitate the event, Patna Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on key routes including Dinkar Golambar–Nala Road, Nala Road–Bari Path, Machhua Toli–Bari Path, Khetan Market, Hathua Market–Bakarganj, Vaishali Golambar–Dinkar Golambar, and Apsara Golambar–Nala Road Golambar.
Only emergency vehicles, election duty vehicles, judicial vehicles, and those with authorised passes will be allowed on these stretches.
Dedicated parking facilities for participants and party workers have been arranged at Gandhi Maidan, Patna Science College, Patna College, Moin-ul-Haq Stadium, Shakha Maidan, and under the double-decker bridge. Police have appealed to the public to cooperate and use alternate routes.
Sunday promises to be a politically charged day in Bihar, with several key leaders campaigning across the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address rallies in Muzaffarpur and Vaishali, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will hold meetings in Begusarai and Khagaria.
Meanwhile, Grand Alliance CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav will campaign in Munger, Patna, Vaishali and Saran.
