Tripura Police have intensified security arrangements at the Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Gomati District, ahead of the upcoming Diwali Puja and festival, scheduled from October 20 to 22.
Today, Gomati District Superintendent of Police, Kiran Kumar, along with senior police officials, conducted a detailed inspection of the temple premises to assess preparedness for the event. Over 2,500 security personnel are slated for deployment during the festival.
“The Diwali Mela will be held from October 20 to 22 at the Tripura Sundari Temple. We conducted a thorough field visit today to review arrangements for crowd management and smooth entry for devotees and VIPs. Entry and exit points, security measures, and overall preparedness have been carefully examined to ensure a safe and organized celebration,” the SP said.
He further elaborated that the security deployment will include personnel from the Gomati District Police, Tripura State Rifles, and Central Armed Police Forces, totaling over 2,500 officers. “Thirty-seven CCTV cameras will be installed across the venue, along with 28 drop gates, nine police assistance booths, and ten watchtowers. Special vehicle passes will also be issued to facilitate smooth movement. We have strengthened night patrolling, vehicle checking, and preventive actions throughout the district,” he added.
The police assured that all arrangements are complete and will be officially announced soon, ensuring a safe and vibrant Diwali Mela for all attendees.
