STGT 2022 Candidates Demand Early Results, Completion of Recruitment Process

After years of waiting, candidates who appeared for the STGT 2022 examination have renewed their demand for the early declaration of results and completion of the recruitment process. Appealing to the Chief Minister of Tripura, the candidates urged the state government to take immediate steps to resolve the prolonged uncertainty surrounding their appointments.

The candidates said that the long delay had left many unemployed youths frustrated and anxious about their future. Several candidates became emotional while speaking about the uncertainty surrounding their careers and the years they have spent waiting for recruitment to be completed.

On Wednesday, the candidates visited Shiksha Bhavan in an attempt to submit a deputation to STGT Chairman Pratyush Ranjan Deb. However, they could not meet the chairman as he was not present. Later, while speaking to the media, they highlighted their grievances and called for urgent intervention by the authorities.

According to the candidates, they appeared for the STGT 2022 examination in accordance with the official notification issued by the government. However, the recruitment process was subsequently stalled due to complications related to the reservation policy. They alleged that although a court had delivered a verdict in favour of the concerned candidates in connection with the reservation issue, the state government approached the Supreme Court instead of implementing the ruling, resulting in further delays.

Expressing their anguish, one candidate questioned why they had to suffer despite following the government's recruitment notification. “What mistake have we made? We appeared for the examination in accordance with the official notification. Why are six precious years of our lives being lost like this?” the candidate asked emotionally.

The candidates also expressed concern over the progress of the recruitment process for the 2025 examination. While acknowledging that they were happy to see candidates from the newer batch moving towards employment, they said the pending recruitment of the 2022 batch should not be neglected. They urged the authorities to address the older recruitment process alongside ongoing appointments.

The candidates appealed to the Chief Minister, officials of the concerned department and the STGT chairman to intervene and ensure that the results are declared without further delay and all remaining recruitment formalities are completed at the earliest.

They said the prolonged wait had affected not only their professional prospects but also their personal lives and future plans. The renewed appeal has once again highlighted the uncertainty and frustration faced by job aspirants awaiting the completion of long-pending recruitment procedures in Tripura.
