A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 14-year-old boy, identified as Abubakkar Choudhury, son of Nizam Uddin Choudhury, a resident of Bagan, Ward No. 4, under Churaibari Police Station. 

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning between 7:00 and 7:30 AM in front of the Churaibari Bishweshwari Temple.

According to reports, Abubakkar was a student of Bagan School and also managed a small shop. On the morning of the incident, he had come to Churaibari to purchase supplies for his shop. While he was standing beside the road with his bike, a Tata dumper (registration number TR01AX1799) hit him with great force. Abubakkar died on the spot due to severe injuries.

Eyewitnesses at the scene stated that the dumper driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. They immediately informed Abubakkar’s family, who then contacted the Fire Service Department. Firefighters rushed to the scene and transported the victim to Kadamtala Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.

Currently, a post-mortem examination is being conducted at Kadamtala Hospital. Medical officials have said that the body will be handed over to the family after the autopsy is completed. Meanwhile, the Tata dumper involved in the accident has been seized and is now parked in front of the Zherjheri Outpost.

This tragic incident has left the local community in deep shock and grief, prompting calls for stricter enforcement of road safety and action against reckless driving under the influence of alcohol.
