In an effort to boost tourism in Tripura, the Tourism Department has decided to organize the ‘Unity Promo Fest-2025’ for the second time. 

This year, the two-day festival will be held in the Belonia sub-division of South Tripura district.

Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Thursday chaired a review meeting to discuss preparations for the upcoming event.

Speaking on the occasion, Chowdhury said that several initiatives have been undertaken by the state government to strengthen tourism infrastructure and promote Tripura as a key destination.

“The interest of tourists in Tripura’s attractions has grown significantly through the Tripura Tourism Promo Fest. Like last year, this year too, the Tourism Department will organize the ‘Unity Promo Fest-2025’. To reach people across all corners of the state, the event will be held for the first time in Belonia, alongside various other popular tourist locations,” the Minister said.

He further informed that a preparatory meeting was held at the Belonia Dak Bungalow, which he presided over. The meeting was attended by the Zilla Parishad Chairman, MLA Pramod Reang, MLA Swapna Majumdar, the Secretary and Director of the Tourism Department, the District Magistrate, District Superintendent of Police, and other senior officials from various departments.

The Minister emphasized coordinated efforts among departments to ensure the success of the upcoming tourism festival, which aims to further highlight Tripura’s cultural and natural diversity.
