The railway authorities have announced the suspension of train services on the Agartala–Sabroom and Sabroom–Agartala routes until November 25. The decision came into effect today, causing widespread frustration among regular passengers.
Earlier, the train used to depart from Agartala at 1:40 PM and return from Sabroom at 4:20 PM daily. However, over the past month, services on this route have been repeatedly cancelled in phases, creating severe inconvenience for commuters who rely on the train for their daily travel.
Passengers have expressed strong resentment, alleging that neither the Railway Department nor the Tripura Transport Department has provided a clear explanation for the repeated suspensions.
Many have criticized the authorities for their inaction, sarcastically claiming that the Transport Department is in “deep slumber.”
Commuters are now demanding the immediate resumption of train services to ease their travel difficulties.
