Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the importance of promoting Hindi alongside local languages, saying it plays a crucial role in communication and national unity.

Speaking ahead of the Northern, Eastern, and North Eastern Regions Joint Regional Rajbhasha Sammelan in Agartala tomorrow, Dr. Saha noted that Union Home Minister Amit Shah chose the city to host the event at the International Indoor Exhibition Centre, Hapania.

“The Home Minister wants such programs in Agartala, and participants from East and North East India have gathered here. The Hindi language is vital for communication, and in Tripura, it is widely understood and spoken. By promoting Hindi, we aim to strengthen unity across the country,” said Dr. Saha.

He also highlighted the cultural significance of Hindi, noting that it has roots in Sanskrit, which connects it to many regional languages.

“I want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their support in promoting Hindi,” he added.

On the sidelines of the AI Summit, Dr. Saha said he interacted with foreign delegates and officials, including Union Ministers and other Chief Ministers.

“It was a productive engagement. Prime Minister Modi is very enthusiastic about AI. In the coming days, all government departments will adopt AI, and the recent budget has also recognized its importance. I firmly believe India will emerge as a global AI platform,” he said.
