Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today criticized the CPIM and Congress for giving fabricated statements in a move to mislead the public.
Dr. Saha also said that while the present state government is working for development in coordination with the central government, Tripura is now moving forward in the direction of progress.
Dr. Saha said thi while participating in the Vijaya greeting exchange program organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Tripura Pradesh, at Agartala Town Hall today.
Dr. Saha said, “I am very happy to be present at this program today. Nothing will happen without the party. Talking to the party workers gives me a sense of satisfaction. I also gain confidence. The more such conferences or programs are held, the more the gap between us will decrease.”
Dr. Saha said that Karyakarta means a worker.
“In the Bharatiya Janata Party, a person's identity is determined by their work. If they do good work, the party attracts them like a magnet. In the coming days, the party will have to move forward through work,” he added.
He said that during Durga Puja, he visited different places in the state.
“In many places, people from the Janajati community have been organizing Durga Puja for a long time. This puja has now become a puja of caste and tribe. Keeping the puja in mind, our socio-economic condition also improves. Along with this, cultural development is also being observed in Tripura. People involved in business are also benefiting financially,” said Dr. Saha.
The Chief Minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government is running Tripura and, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is working for the welfare of the state.
“As long as law and order are not in order, good work cannot be done. Therefore, the government has given one of the highest priorities to maintaining law and order. Although the opposition says different things about it at different times, whenever there is a problem anywhere, the police immediately take action. However, people have witnessed what happened in the state during the long rule of the Left and Congress. The current government is providing jobs through transparency. This trend will continue in the future as well. During the tenure of this government, there is no need to run after leaders and ministers for jobs. This government provides jobs on the basis of merit and qualification. Today, due to this transparency, the Bharatiya Janata Party government is running in about 20 states of the country,” said Dr. Saha.
He added that the present government is working to create a beautiful atmosphere throughout the state.
“People are seeing what the situation was in the country before 2014 and what has happened after 2014. All work is being done through transparency. The state government is working for development in coordination with the central government,” he said.
Bharatiya Janata Party state president and MP Rajib Bhattacharya, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, along with other public representatives and the top leadership of the party, were present as distinguished guests at the event.
