Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for motivating citizens across India through his radio program, Mann Ki Baat.
Speaking after tuning in to the 131st edition of the program from Mohanpur, Dr. Saha highlighted Tripura’s record participation in the nationwide events associated with the program.
“Mann Ki Baat is more than a broadcast; it is a platform that connects every corner of the country with the Prime Minister,” Dr. Saha said. “People follow it not only at local community booths but also in their homes, absorbing messages that inspire and guide them in their daily lives.”
He pointed to the touching stories shared in the latest episode, including a young girl whose parents donated her organs to save others, and a woman who, after a heart transplant, regained the ability to drive long distances. “These stories remind us that determination and self-belief can overcome even the greatest challenges. Many individuals, despite losing limbs, have excelled with the help of modern technology. With the Paralympics approaching, athletes from India, including from Tripura, are showcasing their remarkable achievements. Even those with visual impairments are actively participating in sports like cricket. PM Modi’s program highlights these inspiring examples, motivating all of us,” Dr. Saha added.
The Chief Minister also noted PM Modi’s focus on innovative agricultural practices, such as pond-based farming, as another way Mann Ki Baat encourages progress and self-reliance across the country. “Through these messages, we are not only inspired as individuals but also guided in how to contribute positively to society and our state,” he concluded.
