Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today to discuss increasing the ceiling for Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) to ensure the smooth progress of ongoing development initiatives in the state.
Dr. Saha, in a post on X, said, “Met Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji in New Delhi today. We discussed the need to raise the ceiling limit of Externally Aided Projects, as several important projects in Urban Development, Tourism, and the Agartala Municipal Corporation are currently delayed due to existing restrictions.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that raising the EAP ceiling would help fast-track critical infrastructure and urban development projects, as well as initiatives to boost tourism and enhance municipal services in Agartala and other parts of Tripura.
Besides his meeting with the Finance Minister, Dr. Saha also held discussions with BL Santhosh, National General Secretary (Organisation) of the BJP, at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
These meetings underscore the Tripura government’s ongoing efforts to secure both administrative and financial support from the central government to accelerate state-level development projects.
