In a move to boost the health infrastructure of Tripura, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today met Union Health Minister and National President of BJP, Jagat Prakash Nadda, in New Delhi and discussed key healthcare initiatives for the state.

Dr. Saha wrote on X that during the meeting, he requested the Union Health Minister to set up a Medical College at Kulai, Dhalai (Aspirational District) on a PPP basis.

“Met Hon’ble Union Health Minister & National President of BJP Shri JP Nadda Ji in New Delhi today. Discussed key healthcare initiatives for Tripura, including setting up a Medical College at Kulai, Dhalai (Aspirational District) on PPP basis, and establishment of a Tertiary Ophthalmology Hospital at Agartala,” wrote Dr. Saha.

He also requested the establishment of an Immunology Lab for Organ Transplant Services at Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) & GBP Hospital.

“Requested for funds for advanced medical instruments at the Super Speciality Block, AGMC, and additional funds for AB-PMJAY to settle the pending claims,” added Dr. Saha.
