Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma and Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha held a key meeting on Friday, describing the ongoing discussions as moving in a “right and positive direction” focused on the overall development of the state.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Pradyot said the interaction with the Chief Minister was “productive and cordial.”
“In the meeting, I presented my views, and the Chief Minister shared his. We are hopeful that the dialogue will continue in a constructive manner for the betterment of Tripura. Many important issues were discussed, and we are moving forward positively. The talks were not about elections but about finding solutions. Discussions regarding the Tiprasa Accord process are progressing,” he said.
Before the meeting, Pradyot had emphasized that any dialogue with the Chief Minister would center on the welfare of the people of Tripura.
“If we meet, it is for the good of the state — to strengthen relations between tribal and non-tribal communities. Politics is not the priority; development and the rights of our people are. The meeting is in the interest of Tripura’s people, and our main focus remains the state’s progress and inclusive growth,” he added.
