Tripura is set to dazzle with colours, music, and cultural unity as the state’s Tourism Department announced the much-anticipated “Unity Promo Fest 2025”, scheduled to take place from November 8 to December 12 across all districts. The festival aims to promote tourism while fostering social harmony and community participation.

Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury made the announcement on Friday, highlighting that the success of last year’s pilot event, Promo Fest 2024, inspired the government to expand the celebration to every corner of the state.

“Last year’s response was overwhelming. It encouraged us to make this year’s event more inclusive, vibrant, and larger in scale. The festival will not only boost tourism but also create livelihood opportunities for local people,” said Chowdhury.

This year’s edition will see the festival spanning all districts, including South and Gomati, marking their debut in the series of festivities.

The celebrations will kick off with a grand opening at Narikel Kunja on November 8 and 9, featuring food stalls, cultural performances, and a fashion show. The fest will then travel across the state as follows:

  • Belonia (Nov 15–16): Performances by local artists and popular playback singer Palak Muchhal.

  • Udaipur, Gomati (Nov 19–20): Live concert by celebrated singer Papon.

  • Jampui Hills (Nov 28–29): Showcasing regional talent, including a band from Mizoram.

  • Neer Mahal (Dec 4–5): Special performance by Indian Idol winner Debojit Saha from Silchar.

The month-long fest will culminate in Agartala on December 11 and 12, with a grand finale featuring a live performance by Bollywood star Zubeen Nautiyal on the closing night.

Minister Chowdhury also revealed that several tourism development projects worth crores are underway to enhance visitor experiences and infrastructure across the state.

“The Unity Promo Fest 2025 is more than a tourism campaign—it’s a celebration of togetherness, diversity, and shared culture. It embodies the spirit of unity between tribal and non-tribal communities,” Chowdhury added.

With music, culture, and community at its heart, Tripura’s Unity Promo Fest 2025 promises to be one of the state’s most vibrant and inclusive celebrations yet.
