Tripura has been recognized as a Top Achiever at the Udyog Samagam 2025, organized by the DPIIT under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The State received honors under two reform areas of the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2024, highlighting its progress in ease of doing business and industrial development.

Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma accepted the award from Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who emphasized collaboration, innovation, and quality as key drivers of India’s industrial growth.

Tripura, under Category X (North-Eastern States and UTs with developing systems), was lauded for consistent reform implementation and effective governance. The BRAP 2024 covered 434 reform points, backed by extensive feedback from over 5.8 lakh businesses across 34 States and UTs.

Goyal urged States to strengthen innovation, women’s participation, startups, and deep-tech enterprises while utilizing new Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to protect and empower various sectors.
