In a significant anti-narcotics operation, the Tripura Police of Ambassa Police station in Dhalai District intercepted a Bolero vehicle during routine naka checking in the Upanagar area in the intervening night of 11 and 12 December 2025.
Upon thorough inspection of the vehicle, the police team recovered and seized:
1 kg 862 grams of suspected heroin, concealed inside the vehicle, and
10,000 yaba/methamphetamine tablets.
Three individuals travelling in the Bolero were arrested on the spot. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act as well as the Motor Vehicles Act.
The successful operation highlights the continued efforts of the Dhalai District Police to curb illegal drug trafficking in the region.
