Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Tripura on Friday and was accorded a warm reception at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport.

He came here  to attend the Joint Regional Official Language Conference of the North, East & North-Eastern Regions at the International Indoor Exhibition Centre, Hapania, Agartala.

He was welcomed by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, along with Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee. Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumdar, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, and Director General of Police Anurag Dhankar were also present at the airport to receive the Union Minister.

Amit Shah’s visit is considered significant for the state, with several official engagements and meetings scheduled during his stay. 

Senior officials and party leaders gathered at the airport to extend their greetings and show support.
