Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday said that the vision of Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura can be achieved only through unity among people of all jaati, janajati, and communities.

He asserted that injustice and hooliganism would not be tolerated under any circumstances and stressed that the development of janajatis is not possible without the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing a public meeting organized by the BJP Kanchanpur Mandal at Kanchanpur in North Tripura district. During the event, Dr. Saha welcomed 759 voters from 238 families who formally joined the BJP. Earlier in the day, he also took part in a roadshow in the area.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha said the turnout at Kanchanpur reflected the people’s faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who continues to work tirelessly for the welfare of all sections of society. He said people, including jaati, janajati, and minority communities, now understand that only the BJP can be trusted for inclusive development. Referring to “New India” and “New Tripura,” he spoke about creating new TTAADCs, municipalities, and strengthening the three-tier panchayat system.

Despite being a small state, Tripura is moving towards becoming a model state with peace, harmony, and coexistence, he said. Dr. Saha highlighted that Tripura ranks second in the Northeast in GSDP and per capita income and has been declared a front-runner state by NITI Aayog. He also noted the state’s improved law-and-order situation, aiming to make it the best in the country.

The Chief Minister reiterated zero tolerance for crime, misuse of power, and violence, adding that peace is essential to attract investment. He also directed the Janajatis Welfare Minister to take all possible steps for the welfare and development of janajati communities.
