A tragic incident occurred near the Subhashnagar rail bridge, where a woman identified as Rekha Debnath Pal died after being run over by a train.

According to local sources, residents noticed the woman lying mutilated on the railway tracks and immediately informed the authorities. Police and railway police rushed to the spot soon after receiving the information.

The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Police have launched an investigation into the incident to ascertain whether it was an accident or if there was any other reason behind the death.
