Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy today emphasized the pivotal role of India’s youth in shaping a Viksit Bharat by 2047, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
He highlighted that the creativity, resilience, and visionary thinking of today’s young generation will define the India of tomorrow.
In this spirit, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has organized the “Young Leaders Dialogue” as part of the 29th National Youth Festival, a platform designed to nurture leadership, innovation, and cultural pride among the youth.
Speaking at a felicitation ceremony held at the historic Ujjayanta Palace, Minister Roy congratulated the 62 exceptional young participants selected to represent their respective states at the festival in New Delhi. These talented individuals had secured first place in various state-level competitions, reflecting their hard work, talent, and dedication.
The group will depart for New Delhi later today by train to take part in the three-day festival at Bharat Mandapam from January 10 to 12. The festival will feature a rich array of activities, including cultural performances, painting exhibitions, model design presentations, and the signature Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue.
Minister Roy urged the participants to showcase the unique culture, heritage, and creativity of their states with sincerity and pride. “India and its states are advancing rapidly. Young leaders should learn from peers across regions and contribute to elevating their state’s presence at the national level,” he said.
He also stressed the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle and combating substance abuse, encouraging participants to take a pledge for a brighter, healthier future.
Highlighting the festival’s significance, Minister Roy announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally meet the young leaders, exchanging ideas and inspiring them to contribute meaningfully to India’s vision for 2047.
The 29th National Youth Festival promises to be a vibrant stage for India’s youth to demonstrate their talent, creativity, and leadership, laying the foundation for a prosperous and developed India in the decades to come.
