Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder on Thursday conducted a field visit to different parts of Wards 41 and 42 to assess civic conditions and understand the problems faced by residents.

During the inspection, the Mayor interacted with local people and gathered feedback on key issues, including damaged roads, drainage, sanitation and other basic civic services. He also visited several affected locations to assess the situation firsthand.

After reviewing the problems, Majumder instructed the concerned officials to take prompt and appropriate action to address the issues and improve civic services in the areas.

The visit also covered Ward 41, where Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta is currently handling the ward’s responsibilities following the death of corporator Abhijit Ghosh. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor jointly inspected several locations in both wards.

AMC Commissioner Saju Wahid, South Zone Chairman Abhijit Mallik and other senior officials and representatives of the civic body accompanied them during the visit.

The AMC team assured residents that the problems identified during the inspection would be taken up on priority and necessary measures would be initiated to provide better civic amenities.
