A Bangladeshi national was allegedly killed in BSF firing near Gate No. 47 along the India-Bangladesh international border in the Maguruli area of Kailashahar North, triggering tension in the border village.
The deceased has been identified as Tara Mia aged around 30, and is reportedly a resident of the Dashteki area of Bangladesh. According to preliminary information from local sources, the incident occurred when he was allegedly attempting to cross the border in connection with smuggling activities.
