Tripura has been facing intense heat for the past 2–3 days, leading to widespread discomfort among residents. The heat conditions are being driven by strong moisture inflow from the Bay of Bengal, which has increased humidity levels across the region.
In addition, a hot air current moving in from Bangladesh is further worsening the situation, making the weather feel even hotter and more humid.
Hot and humid conditions are expected to persist until June 4, especially in West Tripura, Sepahijala, Khowai, Gomati, and South Tripura districts.
However, weather forecasts indicate that rainfall may begin across parts of the state from June 5 onward, which is likely to bring relief and ease the ongoing heatwave conditions.
