The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Friday declared the results of the 2026 Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations.
However, the Board has decided not to release the merit list this year.
Speaking at a press conference, TBSE President Dr. Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury announced that the overall pass percentage for the Madhyamik examination stood at 84.18 percent, while the Higher Secondary examination recorded a pass percentage of 79.33 percent.
In the Madhyamik examination, 32,184 students, including 14,769 boys and 17,415 girls, appeared for the test. Out of them, 27,094 candidates successfully cleared the examination, comprising 12,320 boys and 14,774 girls.
Among the subdivisions, Karbook achieved the highest pass percentage with 97.91 percent, whereas Gandacherra recorded the lowest at 68.81 percent. Altogether, 271 schools secured a 100 percent success rate, while five schools failed to produce a single successful candidate.
For the Higher Secondary examination, 26,502 students, including 12,307 boys and 14,195 girls, appeared. Of these, 21,024 students passed the examination, consisting of 9,411 boys and 11,613 girls.
In this category, Jampuijala registered the highest pass percentage at 78.16 percent, while Gandacherra again recorded the lowest pass rate at 56.85 percent. A total of 60 schools achieved a perfect pass percentage, whereas one school recorded complete failure.
TBSE officials further informed that the Bachar Bachao examination will be held after two months. Students wishing to apply for review or re-evaluation can download the application form from the Board’s website and submit it to their respective schools within seven days. The schools will then forward the applications to the Board.
The officials also stated that mark sheets and certificates would be distributed shortly. TBSE Secretary Dr. Jaydip Bhattacharjee and other Board officials were also present during the press conference.
