Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury attended the two-day National Tourism Ministers’ Conference held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, highlighting Tripura’s growing role in India’s tourism landscape.

The conference, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, aims to enhance cooperation between the Central and State Governments in promoting sustainable tourism, encouraging digital transformation, and developing distinctive tourist destinations across the country.

Minister Chowdhury described the event as a key platform for exchanging ideas and best practices that will help position India as a leading global tourism destination.

The conference brought together several eminent dignitaries, including Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari, along with Lieutenant Governors of various Union Territories, Tourism Ministers from all States, and senior government officials.

On the sidelines of the event, Minister Chowdhury held a productive discussion with Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on opportunities for tourism development and collaboration between Tripura and Rajasthan. He also extended an invitation to her to visit Tripura and experience its scenic landscapes and vibrant cultural heritage.

Highlighting Tripura’s increasing appeal as a tourism destination in Northeast India, Chowdhury reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to advancing the national vision of making India a premier global travel hub.
