Founder of Tipra Motha Party Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has criticized certain political parties for sidelining young people after using them during protests, asserting that a united youth force could propel the Tipra Motha Party to victory in upcoming Village Council polls and the 2028 Assembly elections.

Speaking through a video message from Mumbai, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment, Pradyot marked the foundation day of the Youth Tipra Federation (YTF). He emphasized that his party has consistently given opportunities to young leaders, many of whom now hold positions as MLAs and members of district councils.

He pointed out that in the past, youths were often placed at the forefront during agitations, facing police action, but were later ignored when it came to leadership roles. While expressing respect for senior leaders, he stressed that the present era demands leadership from a younger generation, especially in a state like Tripura where a large portion of the population is under 35.

According to him, decision-makers must be in tune with modern technology and the aspirations of younger citizens. He reiterated his commitment to empowering youth organizations like YTF and student bodies, stating that his long-term goal is to secure a better future for the Tiprasa community.

Pradyot also urged young members to take responsibility, actively engage with rural communities, and work to eliminate corruption. He concluded by calling for unity among youth, saying that collective effort and shared purpose could make electoral success inevitable in the coming years.
