Tripura prepared, following centre’s directions: CM

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday asserted that the Tripura government is fully prepared and functioning in line with the directives of the Central Government.

Chairing a high-level meeting at his official residence on Friday, Dr. Saha—who also holds the Home portfolio—reviewed the security scenario along the India-Bangladesh border.

The closed-door meeting, which lasted over an hour, was attended by top officials of the Border Security Force (BSF), Assam Rifles, other paramilitary forces, and intelligence agencies.

Addressing the media today, Dr. Saha said, "I have directed all security personnel to maintain strict vigil along the international border and ensure proper coordination among forces. The Prime Minister, Defence Minister, and External Affairs Minister have already provided us with clear guidelines. We are working accordingly."

Reiterating the state’s commitment to national security, Dr. Saha emphasized that all necessary steps are being taken to uphold peace and ensure border integrity in close coordination with the Centre.
