In a late-night operation Tripura Police from Jatrapur police station under Sepahijala district, along with personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), detained a Bangladeshi national from the K.K. Nagar area under the police stations’s jurisdiction.

According to police sources, the detained individual has been identified as Mohammad Abdul Baten, son of Kala Mia, a resident of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Acting on a tip-off received from a confidential source, the joint team carried out the driver and successfully apprehended him.

The operation was led by Officer-in-Charge Partha Nath Bhowmik, with Sub-Inspector Bijoy Chakraborty and other police personnel present, along with TSR jawans and BSF members.

Authorities have begun questioning the detainee to determine how and why he entered India. Police officials confirmed that a detailed investigation is currently underway.
