In a major organisational shake-up, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced new 'Prabharis' (in-charges) and co-in-charges for several states. The list was released by the party's national president, Nitin Nabin.
Under the new arrangement, Mriganka Deo Barman has been named the new Prabhari for Tripura. Meanwhile, BJP National General Secretary, Tripura MP, and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has been entrusted with the role of Prabhari for Madhya Pradesh.
According to the party's list, Biplab Kumar Deb will now oversee the organisational affairs of Madhya Pradesh, with Rekha Verma serving as co-Prabhari. On the other hand, Mriganka Deo Barman will take charge of the party's organisational activities in Tripura.
Party sources said the fresh allocation of responsibilities is expected to bring renewed coordination to the BJP's organisational work in both states.
