In a significant political event, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today welcomed 135 voters from 42 families in Takarjala into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), bolstering the party's grassroots strength.

The gathering served as a platform for the Chief Minister to launch a sharp critique of opposition-ruled states and outline the BJP's national vision.

After welcoming the new members, Dr. Saha declared that they had "taken the right decision at the right time," a move that would further solidify the BJP.

"Now, the BJP is forming governments in every state. Our membership is the highest in the country, and it is a matter of pride for us," Dr. Saha stated. He highlighted the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "The Prime Minister is working tirelessly for the welfare of the nation, its states, and particularly the Janajati communities. The establishment of the DoNER Ministry has ushered in a new wave of development for the North East."

Drawing a stark contrast between the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government and the current BJP-led administration, the Chief Minister painted a picture of transformation.

"Everyone knows that Bihar was once synonymous with goonda raj and corruption. But after the NDA government was formed, everything changed. People have rejected goonda raj, jungle raaj, and corruption," he asserted, ahead of his scheduled visit to Bihar for an oath-taking ceremony.

He further accused the UPA regime of being plagued by "massive corruption and scams," while crediting the BJP government for "making the country powerful and ensuring the safety of our soldiers and citizens."

Dr. Saha extended an olive branch to those in Tripura who, he claimed, are being "misguided and misused."

"The door of the BJP is always open. We are the only party truly working for the welfare of the Janajati people," he said.

Looking beyond Tripura, the Chief Minister set his sights on West Bengal, issuing a firm pledge. "In the coming days, the BJP will also form the government in West Bengal to end the jungle raaj. We want peace, and the people want their basic rights—that is what the BJP is working to provide."
