The body of a man was recovered from the GB Bazar area on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sujit Ghosh (45), a resident of Pratapgarh.
According to locals, Ghosh had been living in the GB Bazar area for a long time, working and sleeping in the market and leading the life of a vagrant. Around 8 am today, traders saw him sitting on the veranda of a shop, where he complained of feeling unwell. Moments later, he collapsed and died on the spot.
On receiving information, police reached the site and recovered the body, which has been sent for post-mortem examination.
