After nearly a month of being reported missing in Nagaland, the mortal remains of young Vlogger Pranab Das were finally brought back to his residence, plunging the Malaynagar Nepali Para area under Srinagar police station into deep mourning.

Pranab Das had travelled to Dzukou Valley in Kohima district, Nagaland, on January 4. He was last seen the same day at the Dzukou ticket counter in Viswema village. Following that, all contact with his family was lost. When no information about his whereabouts was found for several days, the family lodged a missing diary on January 13.

Subsequently, an extensive search operation was launched across Dzukou Valley and its adjoining areas. Volunteers from several youth organisations, including the Southern Angami Youth Organisation and the Southern Dzukou Guide Council, along with police personnel, jointly participated in the search and rescue efforts.

On February 6, at around 4 pm, Pranab Das’s body was finally recovered from the riverbank near the helipad area of Dzukou Valley. Due to the extreme cold weather conditions, no signs of decomposition were found on the body. Later that night, the body was brought to the Dzukou base camp, where all legal formalities were completed before handing it over to the concerned authorities.

After the completion of administrative procedures, the body was brought to his home today. As the mortal remains arrived, family members, relatives, and neighbours broke down in grief. A pall of sorrow descended over the entire locality. Many people also expressed their condolences on social media, mourning the untimely death of the young blogger.

The exact cause of Pranab Das’s death remains unclear. His family members and local residents have demanded a thorough and impartial investigation to uncover the truth behind the tragic incident. Police and administrative authorities have stated that the investigation is currently ongoing.
