NCC Police have arrested a person in connection with the theft of a doctor’s mobile phone and laptop from a room at the AGMC office inside GB Pant Hospital in Agartala. Police also claimed to have recovered the stolen devices from the accused.

According to police, a complaint was lodged at NCC Police Station on August 17 after the doctor’s mobile phone and laptop were allegedly stolen from a room at the AGMC office on the GB Hospital premises.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation into the incident. During the course of the probe, a suspect was arrested from the Kunjaban area. The stolen mobile phone and laptop were subsequently recovered from his possession, police said.

NCC Police Station Officer-in-Charge Paritosh Das said the accused will be produced before a court on Wednesday. Police are also investigating whether any other person was involved in the theft.

Further investigation is underway.
